Yulia Potvin

Concertante Strings

Yulia Potvin enjoys an active career as a violinist and educator, performing as a chamber and orchestral musician throughout Massachusetts, as well as across Europe and Russia. She served for ten years as concertmaster of the Union Symphony Orchestra in North Carolina, and has performed with ensembles including the Worcester Festival Orchestra, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and the Bach Consort of Worcester.

An accomplished and versatile musician, Yulia has received international recognition for both solo and chamber music performance. She has appeared at festivals such as the Eastern Music Festival (Greensboro, NC), National Music Festival (VA), Advanced Chamber Music Seminar (Pittsburgh, PA), and the Modern Early Music Institute (Washington, DC).

In addition to her performing career, Yulia is a dedicated and highly respected teacher in Central Massachusetts. She was honored as Teacher of the Year by the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association in 2022. She serves on faculty at the Upbeat Music Festival in Houston, TX, and in summer 2024 was invited to coach at the International Masterclasses in Tallinn, Estonia.
