Priority for continued financial aid is given to continuing students in good standing who apply by August 25, 2023. After the deadline, new and continuing students will be placed based on financial need and funds availability.
Financial need is the primary consideration in determining awards. The Financial Aid Committee also considers temporary unemployment, emergencies, and illnesses when making award decisions.
Total music training costs may also be considered for financial aid awards. For example, if you are a JOMP student paying full tuition for lessons but deterred from adding an ensemble due to cost, please contact Caroline (caroline@jomp.org) to discuss how you might participate.
All student financial aid information is confidential. Continuation of assistance depends on evidence of a student’s musical commitment, regular attendance and progress.
Continuing Financial Aid Applicants: If you are a current financial aid recipient wanting to continue your aid into the Fall/Spring 2023-2024, the priority deadline for applications is August 25th, 2023. After that date, continuing financial aid applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served request basis.
New Financial Aid Applicants: New applicants are encouraged to apply. Financial aid awards will be made as long as funding is available. If funding is not available, new applicants will be placed on a waiting list. For beginners, JOMP may recommend joining a low cost instrumental class before private lesson placements.
JOMP believes that everyone deserves access to excellent music learning opportunities. If you are interested in learning how we can help support you or your family to become part of JOMP’s community, please reach out to the office to discuss your particular needs.
If you are ready to apply you can complete the online application form. Please note that the form can not be completed without the documentation listed below, so you should prepare those documents before starting the application form as changes can not be saved.
