Rhiannon Hurst

Award-winning jazz vocalist, arranger, and educator Rhiannon Kaela Hurst has earned recognition on national and international stages. She recently earned her Master of Music in Jazz Vocal Performance from New England Conservatory (NEC) after completing her undergraduate studies at the College of the Holy Cross as both a Brooks Scholar and Fenwick Scholar. She was the first graduate of the joint Holy Cross + NEC 4+1 BA/MM program.

At NEC, Rhiannon served as a Community Performances and Partnerships Fellow and was selected to represent the Jazz Studies Department in the Conservatory’s 2026 Commencement Concert at Jordan Hall. A YoungArts Winner in Jazz Voice, she has also performed internationally at Ireland’s Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.

Her recent artistic and educational work has centered on New Standards: 101 Lead Sheets by Women Composers, championing the music of women composers through performance, research, and education. Alongside her performance career, Rhiannon is a passionate educator focused on jazz education, vocal pedagogy, and creating engaging, inclusive musical experiences for students and communities.
