Patrick Chatham

Cello, Chamber Music

Patrick Chatham is a freelance cellist who performs regularly in orchestras, string quartets, and ensembles throughout New England. He studied cello privately with Betsy Bronstein here at Joy of Music Program, and is currently taking classes through The University of New Hampshire for Violin/Viola/Cello setup and repair under luthier Charles Wolf. He is a performer and board member of Symphony Pro Musica under director and conductor Mark Churchill. He is also a member of the Lincoln Sudbury Civic Orchestra. Patrick is the Middle School Strings Director at Bancroft School. He is also an alumni of the Worcester Youth Orchestra where he currently works as a Resident Teaching Artist, working alongside the Worcester Youth Strings and Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Jonathan Colby. As a part of Patrick’s residency, he is assisting Rebecca Kelly's string program at Ruggles Lane Elementary. He enjoys teaching private lessons throughout the greater Worcester area. Patrick is a cello instructor for the Worcester Chamber Music Society’s community-based program Neighborhood Strings and The Worcester Music Academy. We are thrilled to welcome Patrick back to the Joy of Music Program this summer as one of our alumni faculty members!
