Monica Corey

Monica is a collaborative pianist from Bolton, MA. In addition to her duties as JOMP's program manager, she teaches piano lessons, is a staff accompanist, and directs their vocal ensembles. She is the Director of Music at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Southborough and a collaborative pianist for the Worcester Children’s Chorus.

Recent performances include the world premiere of Frederick: Cantata on the Life of Frederick Douglass with the New England Repertory Orchestra at Mechanics Hall, playing with the JOMP Youth Orchestra in residency with Midori, singing with the All Choir Director's Chorus in NYC’s Carnegie Hall in 2025 for the In Harmony residency with Choirs of America, and various student recitals and faculty concerts at JOMP.

Monica received a Graduate Performance Diploma in Vocal Accompanying from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where she was awarded the InterPlay Teaching Artist Grant in collaboration with the University of Maryland Baltimore County and the Clara Ascherfeld Award in Piano Accompanying. She has a Masters in Collaborative Piano from the Longy School of Music of Bard College and a Bachelors in Piano Performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

In her spare time, Monica loves to play with her two dogs Hugo & Sylvie, travel with her husband Gavin, and read with her book club.
