Jena, a singer and artist, is a Worcester resident, public school special education Team Chair, and School Psychologist. Jena has been singing in choirs since an early age. As a student, she participated in Central District Music Festivals and continued singing choral and a cappella music into college. She has continued singing as an adult in her a cappella group, The Heart Beats. Since, 2023 she has been a part of JOMP’s outreach program “Books, Beat, & Brushes” developing art workshops and supporting music learning for children of Afghani refugees while Afghani mothers receive lessons in English from volunteers of Worcester Refugee Assistance Project. She has developed an a cappella curriculum for JOMP Start so that little ones can begin learning music fundamentals while learning to use their voices in a healthy way.
Jena is also a stained-glass artist and teaches stained glass classes for adults and various after school art programs for kids. Jena works at the Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness as the Arts Education Coordinator and developed the Creative Minds art program.
