Balkan & Middle Eastern Ensemble
Immerse yourself in the music of Balkan and Middle Eastern music through this ensemble offering. Students will explore traditional melodies, complex rhythmic patterns, and learn about the diverse tonal structures of the region. In addition to understanding traditional iterations of the music, students will also have the opportunity to examine how musicians innovatively fuse Balkan and Middle Eastern music with other genres such as jazz and contemporary music. This course emphasizes collaborative music making, improvisation, and cross-cultural understanding, welcoming musicians of all backgrounds who are eager to broaden their musical experiences.

Classes will be formed by age groups and scheduled based on teacher & student availability.
