Summer Classes for Children

Baby JOMP

Age Range:
infants to 3.9

Baby JOMP (infants – 3.9 years) introduces caregivers and little Jompers to the basics every little musician needs to grow. High/low, loud/soft, fast/slow, smooth/rough, play/rest, as well as pulse, rhythm, and melody. The classes incorporate real instruments, so children listen (recorder, piano, guitar/ukulele, violin/cello, xylophone) as well as make music using a wide variety of age-appropriate pitched and unpitched instruments. Music examples are curated from high quality sources from around the world that are easily available. Best of all, the classes are joyful music-making from start to finish.
