Lessons for people who are neurodiverse; JOMPStart; Group Piano; JOMP Alum

Adelaide Mangum is in the process of completing her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy degree as an intern at Roman Music Therapy Services in Wakefield, MA. She received her training at the University of Georgia, with coursework including music, psychology, and anatomy and physiology courses.

Since 2022, Adelaide has been teaching one-on-one and group piano lessons. She specializes in teaching piano, guitar, and voice to neurodiverse students with various diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Adelaide has a passion for early childhood education, teaching private lessons beginning at age 3, and group lessons even younger. Adelaide has music therapy experience in special education classrooms, adult day programs, adult and pediatric hospitals, psychiatric facilities, assisted living and memory care facilities, and early intervention programs. Once board-certified, Adelaide hopes to provide music therapy services in the Worcester area, working with many of these populations.

As a performer, Adelaide has played in the UGA Soul Music Ensemble, UGA University Chorus and Women's Glee Club. For her degree recital, she played both classical and jazz pieces on the piano, arranging a blues piece for a small jazz combo. She values learning and teaching diverse music genres and styles.

We are excited to welcome Adelaide to Joy of Music in January 2026!
