Chamber music has been one of Joy of Music’s core educational programs for over twenty-five years.
Because summer scheduling of chamber music on a weekly basis is challenging due to the “vacation factor,” we are devoting evenings to chamber music for this two-week session in coordination with Summer JYO. Students will receive nightly coachings from the following JOMP faculty members:
Aaron Packard is a member of the New England Piano Trio, Cuatro Puntos String Quartet, and Praxis, an experimental ensemble based in New York City. Aaron currently teaches at the Groton School and has been a member of Joy of Music's faculty since 2010.
The string quartet will give a final performance on Friday night, July 21st to open the JYO concert.
