Storytelling with Music

On Hold
9 to 13

When composers write their music, they have a story to tell. In this guided listening class, we'll explore three master storytellers: John Williams (Star Wars), Gustav Holst (The Planets), and Camille Saint-Saëns (Carnival of the Animals). Each week, we'll listen to one or more of their works.  Through discussion and project work, we'll discover how these composers use music to convey their messages and emotions.

Class size limited to 4 to 8
Classes will be held on Zoom. Google Classroom will be used for assignments and discussion. There may be some homework between classes for projects that cannot be completed in the class timeframe.
