JOMP Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Summit were two of the many groups of young artists, musicians, dancers and actors contributing to the bright spirit of this year’s First Night Worcester festivities. We are grateful to First Night for offering our students the incredible experience of playing in Mechanics Hall for such wonderful audiences. Our alumni tell us that they will always treasure their memories
of playing in the Hall and being part of this amazing celebration of the arts. This year, the Orchestra played the Adagio and Allegro from Haydn’s Symphony No. 104 in D Major and four movements from Bizet’s L’Arlesienne Suites. Jazz Summit presented a set of jazz standards.
