During her time at Longy she has performed at Pickman Hall, Sanders Theater at Harvard University, and the Dante Allegheri Society in Cambridge.  She has collaborated with Longy’s Side by Side El Sistema program and the Boston Cello quartet. Being involved with Longy’s chamber program, Ilana has had the privilege to work extensively with Robert Merfeld.

She has performed solo and chamber works for the master classes of Peter Serkin, Frank Levy, Denis Kozhukhin, Wayman Chin, Randall Hodgkinson, Roland and Almita Vamos, Ming Feng Hsin and Wen Qian, Jennifer Koh, and Dylana Jenson.

Ilana graduated Summa Cum Laude from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, MI, in May 2015 with her BMUS in Piano Performance. She spent time during the summer of 2014 at Brevard Music Institute studying with Jihye Chang.

She graduated with distinction as a JN Andrews Scholar from the Andrews University Honors program, and in 2014 she completed her undergraduate honors thesis, “A Composition Project: An Original 12-tone Fugue Modeled after J.S. Bach’s BWV 847” and was awarded a research scholarship from the Earhart Foundation Emerging Scholars Program. She presented the project at multiple conferences in the Michigan area. Ilana was a winner of the 2012 and 2014 Young Artist Competition at Andrews University, and performed MacDowell’s Piano Concerto No. 2 Larghetto Calmato and Brahms’ Concerto No. 1 Maestoso, respectively, with the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra.

Ilana is also involved as a staff pianist for Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Dance Division, Boston Ballet School, and the Pre Professional Program of Boston Ballet School and Walnut Hill. She is the collaborative pianist for Worcester Children’s Choir, and the pianist for South Lancaster Academy’s concert and traveling choir, Il Voce. Ilana is the pianist for Symphony Pro Musica under the direction of Mark Churchill.

Currently Ilana is working on a collaborative project with flutist, Gabriela Alvarado. They are working on their second concert program, Volvere, featuring works by Latin and Black Women composers. Ilana and Gaby strive to highlight music of the marginalized, in order to expand audiences' experiences with this music and spark conversation around these composers. The first program, Of Water and Clouds, featured French music by women and contemporary composer Elena Ruehr. Gaby and Ilana used this concert to spread awareness of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, of which Gaby is surviving.

Ilana is the recent third place winner of the international collaborative piano competition hosted by the Puerto Rico Center for Collaborative Piano, for her collaboration with flutist Ethan Lin. This is her second international award, the first being with her piano duo, Table for Two, through the Styriate festival in Graz, Austria.

When not at the piano you can find Ilana in the garden cultivating dahlias, or with her beagle, Ivy Ives. She joined the JOMP faculty in July of 2017.
