Chamber Music Two Week Workshop

Ages:
10 to 18

Chamber music has been one of Joy of Music’s core educational programs for over twenty-five years. We are happy to offer this in-person program for string players, now that it is safe to do so!  All classes will take place in our largest spaces - Shapiro Concert Hall, Webster Recital Hall and Jim Allard Library.  We will adhere to all Covid-safe protocols and state regulations.  Mask wearing will be required inside the building at all times.  Students will be distanced 6 to 10 feet apart.

Because summer scheduling of chamber music on a weekly basis is challenging due to the “vacation factor,” we are devoting mornings to chamber music for this two-week session. Students will receive daily coachings from the following JOMP faculty members:

Caroline Reiner-Williams, coordinator & cello ~ Caroline is cellist with the Nashaway Trio and Associate Principal cellist of the Bangor Symphony. She is JOMP’s Program Director and has been a faculty member since 2009.

Olga Pineda, violin ~ Olga is a member of the Eleva Chamber Players and Director of Strings at the Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School in Worcester. In 2004 she joined JOMP’s faculty, teaching violin and piano.

Regie Pineda, violin and viola ~ Regie is violinist with the Eleva Chamber Players.  In addition to teaching string ensembles, he is Associate Conductor of JOMP’s Youth Orchestra. Regie has been a faculty member since 2004.

Students accepted upon teacher recommendation or by Placement Audition on Zoom. Please contact   with inquiries.
