Chamber Music Two Week Workshop

Ages:
10 to 18

Chamber music has been one of Joy of Music’s core educational programs for over twenty-five years. We are happy to offer this program for string and woodwind players.

Because summer scheduling of chamber music on a weekly basis is challenging due to the “vacation factor,” we are devoting mornings to chamber music for this two-week session. Students will receive daily coachings from the following JOMP faculty members:

Caroline Reiner-Williams, coordinator and cello ~ Caroline is founding member of the Nashaway Trio and Associate Principal cellist of the Bangor Symphony.  She is JOMP’s Program Director and has been a faculty member since 2009.

Regie Pineda, violin and viola ~ Regie is violinist with the Eleva Chamber Players in Duxbury VT.  He is Conductor of JOMP's Sinfonietta Strings and Associate Conductor of JOMP’s Youth Orchestra.  Regie joined the faculty in 2004.

Aaron Packard, violin and viola ~ Aaron is a founding member of the Cuartro Puntos Ensemble and performs regularly in the Loon Lake Live Chamber Music Concert Series.  He has been a faculty member since 2010.

Nancy Ackerman, clarinet and flute ~ Nancy presents programs and lectures on the Music of Walter Mourant and Women Composers and has organized and performed in many JOMP Faculty Chamber Music Concerts.  She joined the faculty in 2008.

Teacher recommendation for new students is required.  Students not taking private lessons at JOMP are welcome but need to schedule a placement audition.  Please call or email Caroline Reiner-Williams at 508-856-9541 or .
