Music Theory

** Classical or Jazz Private Music Theory Lessons

High school students may sign up for private instruction in Music Theory.  Students will study basic theoretical concepts to apply to their instrumental/vocal study, including major and minor intervals, scales and key signatures; triads, chords, inversions and chord progressions; time signatures, rhythmic values and conducting patterns.  The study of music theory enhances  students’ understanding of music and builds their musicianship skills.
