Voice Faculty

 Elisabeth Gondek: Voice - Elisabeth Gondek received her Bachelor of Music in Education and Vocal Performance from Anna Maria College. She has performed throughout Massachusetts and New England on many solo and duo recital programs as well as with various groups, including Worcester Opera Works. Recent roles she has sung include Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro, Laurentia in The Beautiful Bridegroom, the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors, Casilda in The Gondoliers, and Amalia in She Loves Me. She is a soprano soloist and section leader at St. John’s Catholic Church and St. Joseph’s on the Holy Cross campus. 

Elisabeth previously taught voice at the Bancroft School and Auburn’s after school music program, and Early Childhood classes at Pakachoag Music School of Greater Worcester. In addition to teaching voice at Joy of Music since 2007, she currently runs a vocal studio at her home in Shrewsbury and teaches music at the Here We Grow Pre-School in Auburn. 

 Beth Keusch: Voice - Elizabeth Keusch holds an Artist Diploma and a Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. She received her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and Music Education from the University of North Texas. For two summers, she was a Voice Fellow at the Tanglewood Institute. Beth has sung internationally and nationally as soprano soloist, including performances at Symphony Hall, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall with groups such as the Boston Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Lincoln Center Chamber Music Society. 

In the spring of 2010, Beth sang a leading role in the world premier of “Phoolan Devi: Bandit Queen” by Shirish Korde, chairman of the Music Department at the College of the Holy Cross in performances at the Holy Cross and Tsai Performance Center at Boston University. In addition to teaching at Holy Cross, Beth joined the Joy of Music faculty in 2007.

Lisa Lynch, Voice, Piano - Lisa Lynch earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Eastman School of Music, where she was the recipient of the George Eastman merit scholarship. She received her Master of Music in Voice from the New England Conservatory of Music, and is currently a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in Voice Performance at the University of Connecticut at Storrs. Her voice teachers have included James Ruff, D’Anna Fortunato, Robert McIver and Tom Bogdan. In addition to opera performances with UConn Opera Theatre, Cantata Singers Chamber Series and the Harvard Early Music Society, Lisa has performed as soloist with the Capella Clausura, Cantata Singers, and is a founding member of the Libella Quartet. She was a faculty member at the Corwin-Russell School in Sudbury from 2006-2009, where she taught voice, piano and served as music director and accompanist for the school’s musicals, and is currently teaching Music Theory classes at UConn under a teaching assistantship. Lisa has taught voice and piano privately for over ten years.
